NEVER BETTER

I am so sad that I just last week cut my service with Carry Telecom for a newcomer that claimed better speed (twice the Mbps) they say and a lower monthly rate.

Well, I have spent more time and money in the last three days trying to reach a real "Hu-Man" at this new Rogers bought-out piece of robotic AI ... company. I dread having to call them because the "wait time" is at least 30 minutes to reach a person...oh, and don't press option 4 because if you do, they refer you to a video on the internet (which I CAN'T view because I DON'T have an internet connection) which is the original problem and why I called. Today, they dropped a call and never called me back. I had to go through that whole loop music on hold for another 30 minutes. I was crying; seriously.

This nightmare with the new carrier, has made me see how amazingly kind and respectful CarryTelecom is. You might wait, sure, but you'll get a person who genuinely knows what they are doing and are motivated to help the customer. A real person.

The new company's AI bot asks: "have I answered your question or would you rather speak with a Hu-Man?". OMG, what did I do.

Don't do what I did. You'll regret it. It wasn't worth the piddly savings or the higher-speed - which incidentally was my cost for three days, so I gained nothing financially. The savings was $12/month and I spent 7 hours so far, and still I have to take tomorrow off work to meet the technician who has to come to my home.

Excellent Customer Service

Signing up with CarryTel customer support has been refreshing. While most of their tech support is based in India they are very very proficient and detailed in their customer onboarding.

Can't complain about anything. Great pricing, excellent service over the phone, and the internet is piggy backed on Cogeco's network. Its fast and inexpensive.

Nothing is perfect. Outages WILL happen, and continue to happen.

I am a VoIP technician with www.VoIPMuch.ca and I recommend CarryTel to our customers looking to save money on Internet for residential services.

- Thanks!

Carry Telecom Home Internet

Carry Tel is a relatively new provider in the Canadian scene. Having debuted in the summer of 2015. The Head office of the Carry Telecom is located in North York, Toronto Ontario.

Now we will focus on the review of the Carry Home Internet services. While Carry Telecom, or CarryTel, boasts datacenters in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. The actual internet services in itself are in true resold services from Bell's network for DSL also from Rogers and Cogeco for Cable Internet in Ontario. So depending on where you live, it defines the plans you get.

Let us review now the available Home Internet Carry Telecom plans in Ontario:

Rogers Cable Internet 75:

  • 75 Mbps Down / 10 Mbps Up
  • Monthly $59.99

Rogers Cable Internet 300:

  • 300 Mbps Down / 20 Mbps Up
  • Monthly $89.99

Rogers Cable Internet 1000:

  • 1000 Mbps Down / 30 Mbps Up
  • Monthly $99.99

Additional Notes:

  • All plans are with unlimited usage.
  • Cogeco Cable Internet has a free installation and a modem free rental option.
  • Rogers Cable Internet has a modem purchase of $59.
  • Bell Fiber Internet Ontario has an installation fee of $79 and a modem purchase of $49.
  • Lifetime warranty on modems

The internet plans from the Carry Telecom in Quebec come with free installation and with a modem purchase of $49. Also, Carry Telecom Internet comes with a Risk-free 7-day trial period - though terms seem confusing and we believe 7-days to be rather a short period.

In general, we like the approach of unlimited plans with no contracts. We would like to see more options for BYOD.

GoneVoIP finds in the Carry Telecom Home Internet plans a very interesting option.Certainly better than the traditional big telecoms and is growing in appeal by offering more choices in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

My internet not working! Is there problem at Carry telecom problem?

Hello, This may be related to a reported Rogers outage. Please try unplugging your modem for a couple of minutes. If this does not resolve the issue then likely it is a Rogers backbone network outage. The GoneVoIP Team

Avoid the Modem Rental Trap

Many of us have struggled with this item at the time we are shopping for internet service: the modem. The idea of a non-technical person making a determination. The typical mindset has always been around, rent along with the service provider. Now internet providers are also including 'whole home internet' or Managed Wi-Fi services, providing the modem and Wi-Fi router. All at added expenses. However that bundling, while making it easier in appearance make no mistake is a cash-grab by the
