Carrytel same like other re-sellers.After just 3 months bill went up to $40 from $35. So I said OK if I chose another company I will lose money and time. The problem is I pay for 30/10 and I get in good days 12/3 which for me is still Ok. The problem is, there are lots of times in the day when I find the speed very low, sometimes close to no internet. What's the point of having 12 mb/sec download and almost ZERO upload speed? That's an internet worth $8 a month and not $40I think in Canada there is no good internet for a fair price. |

Carry Telecom is a relatively new provider in the Canadian scene. Having debuted in the summer of 2015. The Head office of Carry Telecom is located in North York, Toronto Ontario.
Now we will focus on the Home Phone services. Carry Telecom offers two Home Phone plans.
- Canada Unlimited Calling
- Monthly $4.99
- Canada & USA Unlimited Calling
- Monthly $9.99
Both plans come with the following advanced features: Keep Your Number (FREE), Voicemail, Call Transfer, Conference, Call Forwarding, E911 Dialing, Call Return, Call Hold, Call Waiting, Do Not Disturb and Customizable Caller ID.
There is an odd Activation Fee of $49. Though the good news is that you get your ATA for free in exchange.
The long-distance rates from Carry Telecom are better than the usual suspects but you'll find better. Some examples; long distance to the USA is $0.04 per minute. A long-distance to India is $0.029 same to call landlines in Taiwan.
In general, we like the approach of unlimited plans with no contracts. We would like to see options for BYOD and more reasonable pricing on long-distance rates. Perhaps incorporate monthly add-on calling packages to different parts of the world.
In concluding this review GoneVoIP believes Carry Telecom Home Phone plans result in a very interesting option to consider. Though remains to be seen if this can be a long-term sustainable business.
