No Customer Support11 pm Feb 03, 2015: NO RESPONSE to two support tickets posted (as shown) OR to a direct e-mail posted via their website. Per your main page, the DolphinTel Basic Plan includes: A Single Phone Line Your choice of area code and local calling area VoiceMail Caller ID Call Waiting(Hold) Three-way Calling Call Forwarding North American Long Distance 2.4 per min.plus great international rates. Unlimited Calls between Dolphintel subscribers world wide ... all for ~$11/mo., which is about what I am being charged for my VOIP service. My question regards the Caller ID: is it activated (my account)? I'm NOT interested in my number reported to incoming callers rather, the reverse: I want to know who's calling, ideally so that I can install a Call Blocker (Amazon: CPR Call Blocker V202; CPR Call Blocker (short URL on the latter: http://amzn.to/1CTtUdr)), that require Caller ID. I'm not sure the Caller ID that you provide would satisfy the requirements for those devices? Please have a look, and get back to me at Victoria.A.Stuart@gmail.com. Dolphin Tel is an ISP HQ in Burnaby, BC. As many Canadian ISP along with offering Internet High-Speed, it also offers a Home Phone.
When we reviewed Dolphin Tel Home Phone we found it to have the usual VoIP Phone features, such as Caller ID, Voicemail and Three-way Calling. Though it lacks some of the most advanced features such as Block Number List or integration with Smartphone. Also at the moment, there is support for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)Otherwise Dolphin Tel could send a Linksys ATA or a Thomson (combo with Internet) modem.
The monthly cost for the Canadian plan is expensive when compared to our Top Providers. Dolphin Tel is $19.95 and the majority of Top Providers are under $10. Finally, The Long Distance rate for North America calling is $0.024; consider this North America calling is included in all the plans nowadays.
