Eagle internet services have been around for roughly two decades now having been founded way back in 1995. Eagle internet is available strictly in Northumberland, Ontario where both residential and business internet solutions are provided. Eagle has a variety of services they offer that range from domain hosting, internet access, and telephone services.
Eagle headquarters can be found at Northumbria House, 26 Chapel Street, Cobourg, ON, K9A 1H9. It is however rather disappointing that Eagle has not invested in expanding its services out of Ontario considering they have had 20 years to do so. Let us now review one of Eagle’s basic starter plans to gain better insight into how Eagle operates.
Eagle offers a basic residential internet service plan which has a download speed of up to 6 Mbps, and an upload speed of up to 800 kbps. This plan comes with a usage cap of 100 GB per month and has a price tag of a whopping $54.00 per month! If we were to compare this plan to other prominent internet service providers who also operate in Ontario we’d find a substantial price discrepancy. For example, Altima Telecom offers a 25 Mbps plan with an upload speed of up to 10 Mbps with unlimited usage for only $44.95!
For cable plans Eagle offers the following plans:
- 15 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload - $61
- 40 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload - $72
- 60 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload - $89
- 120 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload - $96
All Cable internet plans are unlimited.
The most similar plan to Eagle’s residential plan would be Bell’s starter plan for home users. Bell offers a residential plan with download speeds of 6 Mbps and upload speeds of 1 Mbps while having a cap of 100 GBS as well. Bell offers this plan for $49.95 per month! Essentially you can get the same deal with Bell as you would with Eagle, but you’d be paying less with Bell! Imagine that for a change!
When looking for an internet service provider a consumer should be well aware of many different options. The plans Eagle offers maybe expensive, and many identical plans are being offered for lower prices.
