FVN Alliance is a Canadian telecommunications provider. The company was established in 2006 and their headquarters are in Markham, Ontario.
FVN Alliance offers everything from Internet services to cable TV to both residential and business VOIP services. Other non-communication services provided by FVN Alliance include alarm systems, printing services, and office clouding software.
In our review of FVN Alliance, we will focus on their Internet service and see how it compares with GoneVoip’s top three Internet service providers.
FVN Alliance offers a monthly based service, with unlimited traffic usage. There are two plans offered. One offers speeds of up to 5 Mbps on DSL which comes in at $50 per month. The other is a cable plan which offers speeds of up to 18 Mbps and comes in a bit more expensive at $65 per month.
There is an $80 one-time charge which includes installation and all required equipment.
In our review of FVN Alliance, we were impressed with the apparent simplicity in their pricing options. There are no hidden or additional costs as far as we can tell. There are simply two main plans – one a cable plan and one a DSL plan.
The cable plan is more expensive but it offers nearly four times the speed of the DSL plan. There is also the one-time cost to get set up which includes all of the equipment charges. FVN Alliance also states there is local network support with up to 100 network devices.
The pricing is reasonable although far from the least expensive option out there. But it is fair and not out of whack compared to some other companies.
Yet it is worth mentioning that the simplicity could mean they are not telling the full story. We don’t see the terms and conditions listed anywhere. There is no clarity on whether this is a lengthy contract or a month-to-month plan, just that it is a monthly charge. Everything stated in this review is everything they have stated on their website. Believe it or not, nowhere on their website is it even listed what areas they serve. We can only assume as they are headquartered in Ontario that they serve Ontario. But they also seem to have offices in Russia and Argentina. S
o while their Internet plans appear to be reasonable enough, if you are considering FVN Alliance, we strongly suggest you give them a call to find out any unanswered questions about their service.
