Great Long Distance RatesUsing Localphone as the outgoing provider. It is incredible how much calling $10 can get you. I had used others in the past but the calls were not always of good quality. Their support is fairly good, especially if compared with Bell or even Cazatel and other Long Distance providers around. |

The Best I've Ever HadI have been with Localphone for about 4 years now and I can honestly say that it is the best service I have ever had. The rates are reasonable, and very handy app. I never worry about calling some one long distance, even when traveling. |

Awesome student offerGreat service and student offer gives you 100% bonus up to $10 on your first top up. If your academic email does not end with .edu or .ac then e-mail their customer service and they will give you a voucher code. Very fast service...I placed an order for $15 with my Amex (through Paypal) and within 2 minutes they funded my account with $25! |

Great Android AppThe Android App is very stable (compared to others I've tried) and the rates are pretty good. Even when talking within Canada. Will continue to use as SMS TXT messages are a lot cheaper this way than Rogers' packages. |

Localphone was founded in 2007; HQ in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Localphone has all the usual alternative with call rates sometimes substantially better than those found elsewhere. You can call from a regular phone using a convenient local number (based on your local area code), call from your PC, from a web browser and smartphone apps are available and it also allows you to send global text messages at very affordable rates.
Localphone has grown to be one of the dominants in international calling; they have a vast array of international DID at very low monthly costs so it's cheaper than ever to have international numbers.
Localphone calling service is very flexible. Making it the ideal travel companion. It may be used as a VoIP phone as they support BYOD. Though a consideration to note, same as Skype, Localphone is not a traditional Home Phone replacement. It is in truth an enhanced complement to satisfy international long distance calling needs. In saying as with any long distance calling service provider; 911 calls are not supported. Ideal for any work from home that requires additional calling.
At GoneVoIP we like Localphone pricing and flexible, very intuitive web interface and with a large list of Canadian Local Access numbers. Makes Localphone one of GoneVoIP all-road favorites for long distance calling.

Canada VoIP Market Trends 2019-2024
The communications continue to evolve, and as such so does the adoption of VoIP (Voice over IP). It is estimated the market will grow to dominate cloud communications, workforce mobility, and unified telecommunications. By 2025 the VoIP market will hit USD $55 billion with the North American Market getting the lion share of 40%.
How did VoIP get to this point?
