LooneyCall is a long-distance service from Distributel, the same Torontbasedse company that is behind Yak and Acanac among other services. The way LooneyCall had been designed is to facilitate the use, there is no PIN required nor deposit. All you need to do is to dial 10-15-565 from your phone and the call rate will be invoiced directly in your Home Phone bill.
A few caveats you need to be aware of, LooneyCall is not available for mobile phones. Also, different from other Top Long Distance providers there is no Smartphone app. Finally shall be noted some of the calls may be rounded to 2-minutes since LooneyCall may have to cover some of the inter-carrier fees.
The long-distance rates are cheaper than those found with traditional telecom operators but slightly more expensive than those of our Top Long Distance Providers. For example, the calling rate for Canada and the USA is $0.02; which is to say double than the normal of $0.01 you normally see these days.
In the end, we found in our LooneyCall review to be an alternative to traditional and over-charging telecom operators; though it has limitations in terms of usability and may not offer better rates.

Can we in Alberta use LooneyCall if we have Shaw as our telephone provider??I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. Though depending on where you are calling and how often, there may be better alternatives. |
