MacTel is a residential phone provider. With office in Toronto, Ontario. A difference with many other home phone providers is that MacTel only offers home phone plans. No internet, no long distance calling or anything else.
With that said then, this MacTel review focus on the home phone features and pricing. Comparing with the leaders.
MacTel has really only one plan. With 3 different payment options.
- Monthly Plan: $4.99 per month, Transfer your Number $5.99, Shipping $10.99, Activation $29.99
- Yearly Plan: $49.99 per year, Transfer you Number $4.99, Shipping $10.99, Activation $15.00
- 3-Year Plan: $129 for term, Free Number Transfer, Shipping $10.99, Activation $15.00
MacTel provides the phone adaptor as a free rental - meaning you may have to pay for it in the event you cancell or move the service to another provider.
In terms of features MacTel Home Phone comes with 15 in total. A little lower however you can find the usuals such as: Caller ID, Voicemail, Voicemail to Email and Call Forwarding.
MacTel's residential phone plan provides unlimited minutes for Canada and the USA calling. While reportedly one call internationally, MacTel does not offer a price-list to see international calling rates.
