Dangerous?I had to unfortunatle phone 991 and was routed to the wrong dispatch because Netfone did not update my address/location information for over 1 year. I would log in to my account and all the info was correct but somehow info was not passed on to police/emergency services. It is dangerous to not be able to contact emergency services properly. I have also had numerous issues with reliability and many outages, but the wrong address for emergency services pushed to over the edge to cancel and find better provider. Saving a few dollars a month is not worth it. Go with a better provider. |

No way to stop the billingAfter several years of their VOIP phone service, I tried to cancel the service as I was no longer using it. There is no where on their site to cancel so I called customer support, they told me to send an email. I did that and got no confirmation. Over the next two weeks, I sent 5 more emails requesting a confirmation with no response. I called again, no answer and left a message. I called my credit card company to cancel but as they don't use a regular payment arrangement (on purpose, I was told) there was nothing to cancel. I will have to file disputes for any further charges or change my credit card number. Very frustrating no way to stop billing. |

Netfone is the consumer operating brand owned by Portal One Inc. Portal One Inc. was established in 2004 and his Head Office is in Vancouver, BC.
Like many other Canadian providers, Netfone offers Internet and Home SOHO VoIP Phone services. GoneVoIP will review now Netfone Home Phone plans.
Each plan includes 20 calling features, such as Caller ID, Call Waiting, and Voicemail. The pricing is $10 for the Canada Unlimited Calling, which includes calling to 90% of Canada. There is then a plan for $14 per month which gives 200 minutes calling to Canada and the USA. If youèd like the plan to be unlimited then the monthly cost goes up to $24.95 per month!
We like the widespread availability across the country. However, the BYOD support is rather limited (reduced to 5 possible ATA models and X-Lite SoftPhone) GoneVoIP best Home phone providers offer a lot more free features for a lot less money. Netfone monthly rates are on the extreme expensive side and while does satisfy some essential features only provides Basic 911 support, which by today's standards is not enough.
