Best Rates thus farThis service has the best rates I could find for calls to my folks in Australia & thru Europe. Call quality is actually better and the android app is fairly good, the phone gets a bit hot but I think that is more an issue with the Galaxy S5 than the app itself.Definitively a worth app to pack in your smartphone, more so now I'm going traveling! |

Rebtel started in Stockholm, Sweden in May of 2006 and is currently one of the world’s largest mobile VoIP (Voice Over IP) telecommunications organizations. Over the last nine years, Rebtel has grown to over 20 million users worldwide. We at gonevoip like the flexibility of using Rebtel services across platforms, several smartphone apps, landline, desktop/laptop and best of all have a very competitive international calling and texting rates.
At Gonevoip we agree with Rebtel's call to action to drop the inconvenience of using calling phone cards! Who uses phone cards these days anyway?! It is worth mentioning that Rebtel may be also used as a to complete a Home Phone, so all the international and long distance calling needs are covered by the best rate in the market.
Though you may also use Rebtel to send international SMS (also known as TXT messages) and save about half the cost of regular international SMS or even more. You can text from your smartphone app or desktop/computer.
Rebetel has an intersting option of unlimited calling to the world (51 countries) to mobile and landline numbers, for $10 per month.
For the above-mentioned reasons Rebtel; it is a very good alternative and for some Canadians is the top choice. If saving on international long distance calling is your call (no pun intended) then Rebtel may be a very good choice or an alternative for you.

2016 The Year in Review
It is that magical time of the year when one can look back at the year from the rearview mirror. We started 2016 with a netTALK & Iristel dispute that left thousands of Canadian customers stranded. Then later in the year, the CRTC mandated a skinny TV package, for $25. In theory, sounds nice, in practicality impact of such a policy is unknown and may be able to measure in a couple of years. CCTS reported Telecom complaints were down

Call you, may be?
Is it possible for one person’s long-distance bill via home phone service to total more than $3,000 in a year? The answer is yes and this is based on a true story. In the early 1990s, a close friend‘s partner decided to work overseas. There were no Skype or messenger apps so my friend consumed a massive amount of long-distance minutes and paid for it dearly. I jokingly nicknamed him “Prince of LD” because long-distance calling back then was so
