Setup Fee | Long Distance Rates |
Canada: $0.02 |
SmartReach is a long-distance provider, part of the Pathway Communications group of companies HQ in Markham, Ontario.
Smartreach is a traditional long-distance phone card provider. In our SmartReach review, we found the service is fairly straightforward to use. One has to create an account, top it up (minimum $5) register the phone numbers you'll be calling from (these become the pins) and use one of the many local access numbers available to dial from. There is also a 1-888 number available to call from but you'll be charged $0.04 the 1-888 number. It's possible to setup usually dialed numbers with a short-cut number, that way, for example, a typical 16-digits number would be associated with a 2-digit number.
Regrettably, there is no integration with smartphones as of yet nor web calling or desktop app nor SMS/Texting. In terms of the international calling rates, these are better than Bell for example or Comwave. But rates are not optimal when compared with VoIP Much for example in calls to India the one at SmartReach is almost twice as expensive!
