Vocalocity was a business VoIP provider established in 2006 HQ in Atlanta, GA. In November of 2013 Vocalocity was acquired by Vonage Group. Today Vocalocity operates under the Vonage Business Solutions brand.
In our Vonage/Vocalocity review, we found it to have very good, convenient plans and pricing, It did include many of the features we consider to be a business essential, such as a mobile app, multiple devices in one extension and call screening to name a few. With that said, if your business does many international calls you may need to look for an additional service provider for Long Distance calling. This is typical of Vonage, but the calling rates are one of the most expensive we have seen. Perhaps a side effect of the merger with Vonage.
Vocalocity offers some neat integration points such as Unified Inbox, so all your fax, email and voicemails can be in one commonplace. This goes along with Outlook integration, which allows us to easily integrate contacts and calling features from within Outlook.
In all, we had believed Vocalocity did had a very good set to offer to businesses. Though the merger with Vonage Business has mellow and water down most if not all the good points Vocalocity was bringing to the table. So then, better to look elsewhere.
